About

My name is Sofie Wilcox and I’m a third year student at the University of Melbourne, majoring in Psychology and Sociology. I have been tutoring VCE English and Psychology for almost 5 years, have published a study guide, curated a statewide curriculum for Year 10 English and have given holiday lectures to over 200 students. I have a deep passion for education and assisting students to reach goals along their academic journey. Being able to have the support of a tutor allowed me to excel in my studies, as I was the recipient of the LaTrobe Law School Excellence Award for being DUX of VCE Legal Studies two years in a row. One of my key values is compassion, and with my studies in Adolescent Psychology and volunteering at Lifeline, I take extra time and care with each student to check in with how they are feeling, particularly around exam time that is often riddled with stress.
