Elaine Lim

Greetings! I’m Elaine, and I graduated in 2025 with study scores of 47 and 48 in English and Literature respectively. While I evidently love English, I also recognise that it can often seem vague, abstract, and even overwhelming. In truth, the fundamentals of VCE English — comprehension, analysis, interpretation — follow a process that can be surprisingly logical, not unlike detective work (or NMR Spectroscopy for my Chem students!). I love deriving meaning from the seemingly indecipherable and hope to help you do the same, no matter your current relationship with English. Outside of academics, I enjoy collecting ephemera for my journal and spending time with my two cats, Bambi and Timmy. I’m excited to work with you to make your VCE English journey both rewarding and meaningful!
